The Primrose is a men’s open-front shawl collar cardigan in a soft, medium-weight cotton-blend knit, with two front patch pockets. The rolled collar frames the neckline and the knit drapes rather than clings, so it sits neatly over a tee or Oxford shirt.

Black is the easiest to wear and Bottle Green the most distinctive, with Charcoal and Navy in between. Wear it over a white tee with tailored trousers and trainers, or with slim black jeans at the weekend. If you are between sizes, size up.

• Start with the size you usually wear. Most WARDLEY knitwear and coats are a regular fit.
• To check a piece properly, lay a similar garment you own flat, measure it, and compare your figures with the table for that product.
• Where a piece has a specific fit note — for example, our fleece dressing gown runs small — the product page says so, and we repeat the note below.

Knitwear

Fair Isle Quarter-Zip Jumper — Highbury (sizes S–XXL). Regular fit.

Shawl Collar Knit Cardigan — Primrose (sizes S–XL). Regular fit. Between sizes? The product page advises sizing up for a relaxed fit.

Coats

Double-Breasted Overcoat — Greenwich (sizes S–XXL). Regular fit, cut to layer over a jumper. Between sizes? Size up if you will wear it over chunky knitwear.

Longline Overcoat — Hampstead (sizes S–XXL). Regular fit, cut long with room to layer over knitwear or a suit jacket. The product page advises comparing these measurements with a coat that fits you well over the layers you plan to wear.

Dressing gowns

Fleece Dressing Gown — Chelsea (sizes S–XXL). Relaxed fit. This gown runs small: if you are between sizes, take the larger size.

Trousers

Most WARDLEY trousers are sized by letter (S–XL) — the Tapered Stretch Tech Trousers (Camden) and the Pleated Linen-Look Trousers (Henley), for example. Tailored and tech styles such as the Lancaster Stretch Tech Trouser are sized by waist, W30–W38 (inches). Choose the size you usually wear; the sizes offered for each style are listed on its product page.

Socks

The Boot Socks 5-Pack is one size, fitting UK shoe sizes 6–11 (EUR 40–46). Where another sock style is sized differently, its product page states the fit.

Footwear

Our footwear is sold in UK sizes 6–11. Suede loafers (Cadogan) and Chelsea boots (Lowndes) are true to size; the elastic gussets on the Lowndes ease over the first few wears. Suede trainers (Eaton) are true to size. If you are between sizes in a loafer, take the smaller size — suede softens and moulds to the foot. Use the table to convert from EU or US sizing, or measure your foot length heel to toe and compare.

Footwear can be tried on indoors and returned unworn, in its box, within 30 days.
